Born in 1963, Stuart Lawrence took up competitive croquet in 1990. His home clubs are the New York Croquet Club, located in Manhattan's Central Park, and the Lenox Croquet Club in western Massachusetts. Stuart played on US teams in the 2011 Carter Challenge in Ireland and the 2016 Solomon Trophy in England. In addition, Stuart has competed in the last four WCF Association Croquet World Championships. Over the past eight years or so, he has been one of the most active tournament players of Association Croquet in the United States. In 2016, he was runner-up in both the singles and doubles of the US Association Croquet National Championship. Stuart plays with a standard grip and a Dave Trimmer mallet. When he's not playing croquet, Stuart is an attorney representing tenants in housing litigation in New York City.
